I don’t know where else to put this so I thought I’d try here.

I want to find someone who is skilled in woodworking and commission them to do a personal project for me. I lost my older brother last year at the young age of 36. He was an avid fisherman. I have his remains still sitting in a box on my shelf. A normal urn just doesn’t seem to fit who he was. I was hoping to get a wooden tackle box built to my specifications to put his remains in on the bottom while also opening at the top where I could use the graduated shelves on hinges to put some of his small belongs in.

I realize this project may not be cheap. I’d rather go for quality anyway. Can anyone help me with this project or point me in the right direction? Any advice is more than appreciated as I really don’t have a starting point with this.

Sorry to hear about your brother. I wish you luck in finding a good craftsman to build an urn worthy of his remains.
Maby you can visit some local cabinet shops and speak with somebody who does woodworking projects on the side, or a local furniture maker who would like to do this for you. Maby a local craft fair will feature artists/woodworkers you can speak with as well.

Best of luck.
