I am looking for a 6”tool rest for my Grizzly G5979 wood lathe 1 ” dia hole rest
Have the standard 12 ” that came with it .
However need the samller which Grizzly does not carry for this lathe. Where can I order it.?

You can get those from the – woodturners catalog.com They have all kinds, look at the T-bar system, they are cool, even better, if you know anyone with welding abillity they can make you one, A freind ( up the hill Metal Mike) took some 1 inch round stock, and took a die grinder to it making a 1/2 inch deep semi circle that fit a six inch round bar then just welded it together, I had him offset it a little so there is 3 1/2 inches on oneside and 2 1/2 inches on the other, it is just a little more versatile that way, since it is round and does not need to face any direction. It is solid, he also made a flat box rest that projects 2 1/2 inches and 1 inch on the other side.
