Topic tags/keywords: for sale braces hand drills bench planes block planes no 6 no 9 12

Hello Folks,

This time I have a total of 12 vintage tools to offer you. I like to offer them to you guys before put them on eBay. A total of 7 Vintage Braces in great condition, 3 eggbeaters, and 2 bench planes. I will have more planes in the next coming weeks if you are interested on more planes.

Offered on a first come, first served basis.

Shipping is as follow

Small priority flat rate box $7.00 (will fit 1-2 small eggbeaters)
Medium priority flat rate $12.00 (will fit 2 10” braces)
Large priority flat rate $16.00 (will fit 3-4 10” braces)

I’m offering a fix price for the entire lot of 12 vintage tools. $400 + shipping. If you purchase the entire lot, shipping will be calculated based on weight and final destination.

Anyone interested send me a PM including item #, your zip code and PayPal email address, I will soon follow up with an invoice for your purchase.

All the braces were only cleaned with a steel wool, WD-40 and polyurethane applied to the wood handles and polished with paste wax.

Millers Falls No 1712 Brace “Greenfield Mass Made in USA” Nice condition $30 + shipping

Item #7

Personally to me this is the best out of the 7 braces I’m offering this time; still I was not able to find information about this one. The only markings are visible on picture 3 & 4, perhaps it maybe a collection item for someone

E.M. & K. WEST “LANCASTER NY USA” 2310, The wood looks great, I don’t know exactly what kind it is but seems like Rosewood or Cocobolo, Clean condition, shows some very little pitting as shown on picture 4 $40 + shipping

Item #8

Goodell Pratt Large Hand drill. Rosewood handles, seems to be missing the knob? $65 + shipping
I wasn’t able to locate a model Number for this one, but here is one very similar to that one, No 1515
Re-painted, original paint/japanning was almost gone when I got it, applied 3 of polyurethane and 1 coat of paste wax, polished brass hardware

Item #9

Stanley Small hand drill “eggbeater” Type B $25 + shipping
Re-painted, original paint/japanning was almost gone when I got it, seems to be missing the springs on the j
aw

Item #10

Stanley Small hand drill “eggbeater” No 1221 $ 25 + shipping
Original paint/japanning seems to be missing the springs on the jaw

Item #11

Stanley No 9 ½ block plane $ 35 + shipping

Very nice condition, very little pitting here and there, original japanning 98% +, almost full blade life remaining. I only cleaned with a nylon brush and WD-40. I sharpened the blade and add it a micro bevel at 30° as seen on picture 7, this blade is very sharp.

Item #12

Stanley Bailey No 6 $ 50 + shipping

Re-painted, again original japanning was less than 20% when I got it, has a missing horn on the tote and a crack repaired as well the knob shows a crack but both were repaired with 5 minutes epoxy, and is holding very well, brass was polished and I applied 3 coats of polyurethane on the rosewood handles with 320 grit sanding between coats and 1 coat of paste wax finished polished with a steel wool “0000”. Blade was sharpened and a micro bevel add it at 30°, again very, very sharp (picture 10)

Muhammad,

Everything that was left has just been transfered to eBay just about 1 hour ago,

There’s many, many planes on that listing, if you are interested, I can give you a shipping quote if you give me your postal code and city, and keep an eye on the listing here

Wow. I was hoping that you were still selling these items individually. I might have bought some, but cannot afford the price for the lot. Some collector will have a fine time. Good luck with the sale!

Actually that was the idea since I post them here, sadly I didn’t get much luck with them besides just a couple of tools, that’s why I decided to put everything on a single lot at eBay and make someone really happy, I hope to see this reaching the 4 digits… :)
