Message from a hard working Aussie…
\
I work, they pay me. I pay my taxes and the government distributes my taxes as it sees fit.
In order to earn that pay cheque, as I work on a mine site on the Kalgoorlie [WA] construction project, I am required to pass a random urine test, with which I have no problem.
What I do have a problem with, is the distribution of my taxes to people who don’t have to pass a urine test. Shouldn’t one have to pass a urine test to get a Centerlink Payment [Welfare Check] because I have to pass one to earn it for them?
Please understand I have no problem with helping people get back on their feet.
I do on the other hand have a problem with helping someone sit on their backsides drinking grog and smoking dope.
Can you imagine how much money the Government would save if people had to pass a urine test to get a Centerlink Payment.[Welfare Check]
??
Please pass this along if you agree or simply delete if you don’t !!!
Hope you all will pass this along though, because something has to change in this country,
and soon…

Hot topic. The problem is, the Government does not need anymore number one, because they are already full of number two.

In general governments aren’t very good at running peoples lives or anything else really. It’s sort of like having a big committee making all your important decisions for you.

Hell, let’s not stop with aid recipients and athletes. Let’s require it for politicians, too.
Hey, what’s good for Kobe Bryant and a homeless guy is good for Harry Reid, too. Right?

Hey Roman some politician is now thinking this one over, you may have started a new wing in government. “The Department of Animal Compensation” Hey Larry way is it that the working man is the only one feeling the pain. The rich get richer and the lazy get fatter.

Technically, I think this falls into the category of forbidden political discussion.

That being said, I agree with it wholeheartedly. ;-)

I think we have the same problem in this country also Larry, we are not smart enough to handle our affairs, so the govt. will take care of things for us.

David,
Not only do they retire, with full pay
but also with full health benifits.

Maybe they have them pass the urine so they won’t pee in the mine shaft?

I can’t comment on this one. I am way too opinionated.
