For those that have used M&G near Houston, what did you think of the color/quality of their walnut? I understand that it is Texas walnut. I want to build a reproduction period piece, so want the walnut to be as good as I can get in the area. Thanks.

Don, did you ever end up going to M&G and see their walnut? I am planning a trip over there and am curious about their walnut also.

I did end of getting some 3×3x30” posts for four legs used on my kitchen table. That was some time ago. My understanding is that they don’t always have walnut in stock. Seems like then use steam to kiln dry their stock, so that was a no-go for me. Let me know if you find out anything different. Good hunting!!
