Just got one 34612 from craiglist. I don’t mean to be a moron, but I never own a bosch. When the trigger switch is released, is it suppose to make a loud click noise or ? If gently released it wont make that sound. It happens when I use Gear shift 2 not 1.

Sounds like a chuck brake engaging. My 18v Li-Ion Ryobi does that and the inertia causes the chuck to loosen after 4-5 stops. Really annoying if I’m up on a ladder and the bit drops to the ground.

Might be the chuck. Give Bosch a call at 877-BOSCH-99 (877-267-2499)
