The Woodcraft near me is in the process of moving its location across town. They didn’t want to pack up all their old “classroom” tools so they had a sale of sorts on most of their machinery. I saw the local flier advertising the sale and didn’t think much of it. But when I got a second email with the remaining unsold items and “make us an offer”, a planer caught my eye. They had a Delta 22-785×15” planer listed for $900. They accepted my offer of $500 which I thought to be a fair price considering it had both roller tables, a decent mobile base (Jet I think) a set of carbide tipped blades in the machine and an extra set of hss blades sharpened and ready to go. The only thing that was missing was a head locking handle and the knife setting gauge both of which I found online and are on the way to my shop.

So not really a tool gloat, since I think it was a fair price. hence the but!

So…you are not happy about the price? Seems like a square deal to me.

But what? Your post makes it sound like there is some negative aspect to your new acquisition. Looks great.

But…... you lost your cow bell, so you can’t celebrate? I think you just about stole that thing.

Great price. That’s about what I’d expect to pay used for that machine, but yours comes with a warranty. Good buy!

Nah, no warranty.. It was part of the Woodcraft classroom arsenal for the past 10 years. Just well cared for
