Hi everyone,
Since I don’t have a table saw, I was wondering if any of you could quickly whip up some pieces of wood for me (for a price off course). Or does anyone know where a product like this could be found?

I need 11 pieces of hardwood (probably oak), that have an cross section like the image below:

How many miles of this do you need? 3/32” ok for the kerf?

3/32 would work for the kerf, though 1/8 would probably be preferable; I would need 11 – 15 pieces of this that are 18” long. I would realyl appreciate it if someone could do this…

How does $1 each sound + shipping, in oak?

When do you need them ?

If you posted your location, you might find someone nearby willing to share some shop time and a beer with you… beats paying shipping.

A 1/8 inch kerf is 2/16ths – the height of your ends is 3/16ths. That leaves a 32nd on each side of the kerf. There is almost no meat left.

Sorry, for the error… It was meant to be 3/8” height, not 3/16”...

How deep is the kerf? What’s with the 16 3/8°? Will 16° work, or does it have to be 16 3/8°. like ayryq said, find yourself a beer buddy, and visit him. Make them yourself, but only drink with him after you’re done…... 2 cents…....... Jerry (in Tucson)

Mark,
I’ve sent you an email. One question about that pic though: is it just an illusion, or is the bottom of that piece not flat?

@customturnedwork – just out of curiosity, what are you planning to do with these pieces?

A thank you to everyone else for their advice; unfortunately, I’m young, and can’t drive to any buddies place. Plus, my mother would be concerned about my fingers becoming stubs, especially as I’m a pianist. And since I’m under age, so the beer wouldn’t be legal LOL…

endgrainy: it’s top secret! (just joking). I will however, leave you in suspense until I reveal the finished project (if it succeeds), a couple months from now on this forum…
