Hi guys,

I inherited a Reliant band 14” saw band saw in very good condition except for the upper blade guide is missing.

I have searched the Internet looking for Reliant Tool Co. I looked for Trend-Line and Post Tool Companies with no results! It seems like I’ve inherited a piece of junk!

Karson suggested trying Grizzly, no luck.

Several questions?

1. Any clues on where I can get these parts?

2. Can I subsiitute a upper blade guide from some opther make, and if so where do I go?

3. Should I put it out to the curb and go on with my life?

Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Tom,

I just gave mine to my son, except mine was a 16”. Those were almost exact copies of either Jet or Grizzley. You might go into a local store that handles some of these and check them out. Also, there is another company that sells replacement blade guides for many different band saws. I think that when I checked, they were quite pricey as they all have roller bearings instead of guide blocks. Sorry I don’t have the information as to where to get them, but I saw their ad in one of the woodworking mags. If I can find the mag, I will get back to you.
