In my preparations for my new website and photographing my stuff, I researched how to make an inexpensive light box. I’ve noticed a few others on this site asking about a light box as well.

I used this blog.

It is a good blog with pictures, etc.

I got the foam board at Staples for $12. I got 4 lights at HD for $22.00 and 4 “daylight” flourescent light bulbs with them for $8.00. I have less than $50 invested in the whole thing, and it works really great!

I cut my light box down to a 15”x20” rectangle. I also reinforced the outside of the box with wood scraps where the lights clip on.

Hope this helps some folks. It’s pretty cool, and really easy to do.

Thats a great loooking light box. I need to do something like that. I don’t think I could support a permanent setup. It would have to fold up.
