Well theres some fungshui that smelled kinda funky about going to Sarnia…turns out my union wasn’t going to cover me for headin out there which I had a problem with. But knowing I had a partner going ouyt there splittin on a room with I was ok with it. Now my partner bails out on me and has his own place to stay free which screws me over. So theres absolutlely NO point for me to head out there pay for travel, hotel, and food ALONG with my regular house n bills so I said !@#$ that I’m stayin home and taking the Home Depot job! :)) Starting tomorrow right after my inteview I will be workin with the orange vest! And you know what that means! DISCOUNT!!! So I won’t be leavin my family (nor my LJ’s!) I’m stayin home with lotsa new tools comin in!

they are the most important .

We do what we have to, Mark. The union job may have meant more money but at what cost? As Jim said, any job is better than no job.

A rare thing this job since just yesterday HD announced a large corporate lay off. Be happy, fact is in the long run you’ll probably make more money. You’ll have no weather related lost days. You won’t have to buy expensive tools. Most of all in the winter you’ll be warm and summer time cool. Not much to complain about. Considering windmills you’ll als be a bit closer to the ground, I’ll bet.

Glad your back, kiddo.

ah like i said before guys this is more of a brotherhood than the union is anyday…the union is a joke now

as long as i can put a roof over my family’s head, feed them, and have benefits I’m good. The union isn’t helping me do that right now. In all of 2009 I only worked 259 hrs with the union while i worked over a thou somewhere working for my brother in laws framing company.

Sorry to hear about your plans falling through but let me tell you that youll enjoy that discount! I have been working at a building supply store for about three years now, we are only in Atlantic Canada, we are big and green, any of the Lj’s from the area can guess which one I am talking about… One of Home Deops competitors, but I wont judge you for going over to the dark side LOL. Best of luck with your new job and we are all glad to have you back, you didnt get much of a break from us did ya? haha
