Is there a way I can adjust the time stamp for my account here? I currently am getting time stamps that are 6 hours ahead of my local time.

Have you set your location in your profile? The site might have automagically set you to GMT without a location.

I did have my location set as WI, changed it to Madison, WI. Will see if that helps. In the past I logged off and on and deleted cookies but neither of those did anything.

Does it really matter? I only look at the date (not the time) to see how old a given post is, to determine if it’s an ancient one or fairly recent. If the post was made a week, month, or years ago – does +/- 6 hours make much difference?

Cheers,
Brad

Of course it doesn’t matter, I just wanted to know if there was a way I could fix it. It’s pretty obvious that this website is one of the most helpful and popular ones around but it also is in bad need of an upgrade.

This reminds that it used to give the hours or days since your post, instead of a date and time.

I gave up on trying to figure out how the new (completely Greek to me) system improved on the old one. Now I have no idea when things were posted.
Good thing it’s not too important …...
