I used to belong to a wood working book club. I believe it was handyman club of America. I really liked the books and used a lot of the plans. I stopped them awhile back

Has anyone else ever belonged to such a club?

Steve:

I belonged to it, back in the late 90’s for about three years. I enjoyed it, and still have the bi-monthly

magazines titled “Handyman How-to”, and the books that they would send to you. I let the subscription

lapse ~2000, and do not know whatever happened to it , or if it still exists.

Is there another club like that out there?

I was a fool and fell for ‘teds woodworking ’ scam and was lucky to get my money back

Handyman thingy is long gone. Woodworkers Book Club bit the dust somewhere around 2008. I don’t know of a legitimate one. I think sites like Amazon offer so much with no mandates or things to return, it killed most of these efforts.

Steve: I fell for the Ted’s woodworking scam myself, when I first got my computer three years ago. I
also got my money back. Now I am a little more leery.

Have your say...
