GOT SAW ALL PUT TOGETHER NOW ITS TIME TO ALIGN. CAN THIS BE DONE WITH THE SQUARE,OR DO I HAVE TO SPEND MORE$$ ON EXPENSIVE GUAGES?

You can measure from the front and back of the blade off the miter slot. You can use any thing from a combination square to a feeler gauge,

If the blade is parallel to the miter slot, you still need to check its also parallel to the fence at a few positions. If its parallel in a position but slightly off in another position, probably the fence’s rail that needs adjustment.

I used a combination square got it squared. I do have a dial indicator I got from HF for $10 but I haven’t had need to use it yet.

I used a dial indicator attached to a wooden jig, but a friend of mine told me an easy way, he clamped a straightedge onto his miter gauge.
