I have laminated 3”X43” boards of maple planed down to 3/4’ thickness…the laminated sections are 28”, 28” and 41 1/2” wide. The sections or panels will be pieced together to form an ideally flat wall part of a breakfast bar. But they have twisted, don’t lay flat…any ideas on how to flatten them?

So, I ripped 1 to 2 inch strips down the back of the panel about 3/4 the way through it which gave flex to it. Lays flat now. Rock on table saw!

Seems like your wood has not been dried enough.

Dry as a popcorn fart on toast! It’s just that it’s very hard wood and the peices I chose for this project have a lot of knots in them…I find the more narly the maple the more twisty it gets.

Have your say...
