i’ve got a friend of the family that is an old cabinetmaker thats getting out of the business due to health issues. He asked me recently if i would be interested in his Jet tablesaw the problem is i’ve never really heard any info on them so i’m hoping you guys might be able to shed some light. I don’t have a model number but i know it’s a little older and it’s a cabinet saw. Other then that I’ve never even laid eyes on it. He lives in the country so i doubt i’ll be able to get any service to check info once i get there. Please help thanks.

It is really pretty hard to offer any constructive advice, but in general Jet power tools are pretty good. Not top of the line, but not bottom feeders either. I have a Jet WorkShop table saw, and really like it.

If you can get any further information or some pictures, it might help.

How much is he asking?

Not sure what he’ll be asking and I’ll get the other info ASAP but was just curious in general as to the quality of the table saws.

I’ve had a JET hybrid table saw for several years now, and I’ve never had an issue with it.

I have a Jet 12” table saw with a sliding table attachment that I bought over 20 yrs ago. We use it in production, so it’s used several hours every day. It has been a very good saw. I have several other Jet pieces, and am happy with all of them.
