I have a project in mind that requires 1” wooden balls for feet. Since the item will be made of maple, I prefer maple balls so they will finish similar to the box itself. Most of the craft places I have checked either don’t specify the wood or specify they are made of birch. One place has maple & birch balls but doesn’t differentiate between them and says that they can’t pick out the maple ones.

Anyone know of a place online where I can get actual maple balls, 1” in diameter?

Rockler sells 1” wooden balls listed only as “hardwood”. You might give them a call (800-233-9359) and ask them. I ordered a couple of the 2” balls as knobs for my end-vise handle. To my southern eyes they look like maple, but I’m not sure.
