Hi all;

So I am in the process of starting a new job. The company is relocating me and they have put me up in a hotel for a few weeks. I still want to woodwork while I am here. I only have a Dremel with me, but I do have access to a big box store for small items. Can you think of any little projects I can make to entertain my time while I locate a place to stay and setup my woodshop? Thanks!

Mike

I’m a model builder which is how I got may start into woodworking (at the age of 17) and occasionally I still build a model. When I went through a divorce back in the very early 1980s and had to live in a borrowed basement and then an apartment for a short while I reverted to model building to keep my sanity. Wonderful therapy! Nothing needed but a building board and a small box of tools and glue. Here are some links that may help.

Anything you want . . . in Sketchup.

Doll furniture. When you’re home again, build a dollhouse.

Charles beat me to it – I was going to say the same.

And if you do not already know how to use Sketchup, now is the perfect time to learn.
