I neatly placed my turning tools on a magnetic strip and today I noted they had a little magnetism. Any comments? Any consequences?

I put my old screwdrivers on a magnet to magnetize the tips to hold screws better and it helps.
I don’t think any harm will come of your turning tools becoming magnetized.
(Unless they stick to the tool rest…lol)

Magnetising steel aligns the molecules and causes the steel to become brittle. Lightly tapping the shafts with a small steel hammer will correct the problem, just don’t hit too hard, and then keep them off the magnet.
