hi :) my brother gave me a note for Christmas that my gift was a 1 year subscription to the woodworking magazine of my choice. I’m already subscribed to Fine Woodworking. Am looking for opinions on another magazine that might compliment FWW. thanks! |

Popular Woodworking. That and FWW are the only two I read. Both are very good. -- Mike |

Dang it you beat me to it. Mortise and tenon, still waiting for mine. I am a woodworker by trade, but my hobby is also woodworking (lutherie) so I like fretboard journal as well. There are some good mags from over sees too. Austrailia has a few, don’t rule those out, but they are hard to find on american internet searches. Do you get PWW as well? -- Brian Noel |

I second both PWW and Mortise and Tenon, both great. I also subscribe to FWW and WoodSmith, Guild Edition, which isn’t too bad either. It’s kind of a hybrid of the old Woodsmith and the defunct ShopNotes. -- Learn Relentlessly |

Thanks for all the suggestions! I only have fww right now. I had a sub to wood magazine but let it lapse. |

Did I read that right? $24 pre order for the first issue? -- I always suspected many gun nuts were afraid of something, just never thought popcorn was on the list. |

Now you know why all the other magazines have so many ads :) I got the impression it’s more of an annual soft cover book than a simple magazine |

It did look like a coffee table book. I really liked the one pop woodworking made for a year or two. Woodworking I think. No ads and lots of tips. -- I always suspected many gun nuts were afraid of something, just never thought popcorn was on the list. |
