Hello Fellow Woodworkers!

Posting to introduce myself. I’m Chuck from Edmond, Oklahoma. We now have more earthquakes in Oklahoma than in California!!

I’ve been slowly building up my tool inventory and my skills. I have to fight to get time to “play” with my tools in my 1-car-garage work “area”. Mostly on weekends. Everything I have is on wheels so I can maneuver my tools where I need them to be. Current inventory is:
1 Craftsman table saw (older Emerson model)
1 Craftsman joiner (again, older model)
1 Steel City 13” planer (bought it 2 weeks before they went belly up! Who knew?)
1 Porter Cable 14” band saw
1 Grizzly router table with a 1.5hp Craftsman Router mounted.
1 Ryobi bench top drill press (need to replace this…too much run out!!)

Have I built anything meaningful? In my opinion, not yet. I’ve built slide out shelves for all of our builders-grade kitchen cabinets (wife approval is high!) and have materials for some much-needed garage cabinets. I haven’t built my skills enough for “pretty stuff”.

Started on this hobby/passion/obsession kinda late in life (I’m 63). But I can still keep up!

See ya around!

Welcome to LJ’s. Post what you make regardless of skill, or if it is “pretty”. The comments will be helpful in making the next project and so on.
