Topic tags/keywords: table saw table saw cabinet saw table

I’m about to start my first LJ project.

I have purchased a used Delta contractor’s saw, and need to build an in/out feed table. So far, the only real plan I have seen is this one from Wood magazine:

My design criteria are:
1. movable, so I can put it against the garage wall when not in use.
2. collapsible on one side for same reason
3. include a modicum of storage
4. doable for a newbie

Any thoughts or pointers? Also, does anyone have an estimate of how much the wood design will cost to build?
(I wish they had more pictures, but i suppose <$10 to figure that out is not too bad a deal.)

Thanks, Robert.

I was just speaking with my local lumber yard, and they informed me that 1/2 sheets of MDO are $53 and change, while 3/4” MDF is $33 and change.

What does 20 per sheet buy me, except for some weight savings?
The MDO is being used for drawer bottoms and cabinet side panels. Any suggestions or comments on substituting 3/4 MDF or another, less expensive 1/2” sheet product?

Thanks a million. This is an awesome site!

Thanks Jim,

I never looked elsewhere in the site.

....sounds like it’s worth the extra $20…
