Topic tags/keywords: question resource drill press grizzly shop fox

While perusing the Grizzly site I came across the 8.5” 1/2hp H0625 and 13”, 3/4hp H0626 oscillating drill presses. I was wondering if any LJs have any experience with either of these lil’ guys? I like the oscillating feature for sanding (I don’t think I’d have enough use for a spindle sander to justify buying a seperate one, much less the room for it, but having the option would be nice.)

I’ve done some searching but I’ve only found a couple reviews on either, and seems to be a 50/50 toss up between “its the greatest thing ever!” and “omg its a steaming pile of horse hooey!”

Pricewise these are right in my range (the 13” pushes what I want to spend but I’m concerned the 8.5” may be a bit small for my needs) and I haven’t seen any other oscillating presses in a benchtop size (tho if anyone has any suggestions plz feel free to fire away)

Thanx gang!

Neither one states how much it actually oscillates unless it is the full travel of the spindle , which I highly doubt.
Only you know your actual needs as to which size you get. Enjoy your new toy : )
