My company is auctioning off 850 bd feet of 8/4 walnut and 300 bd feet of curly maple on Thursday. Not sure how much I should bid. At least one one walnut board is 14 inches wide. Any ideas. You have to buy the lot.

Find out what the 500 board feet rate is in your area and don’t pay more than this.

What kind of company and are there other woodworkers interested in the wood? If nobody else is after it then bid 50-75 cents a bdft or just say $200 for the lot.
