Has anyone had first hand experience with the new Molded Mini Gorilla? I have been very happy with my dust deputy and the customer service I have received from Oneida hence why I am leaning to the Molded Mini Gorilla. Oneida is also within driving distance, so I wouldn’t have to pay for freight.

What’s the clear tube for that connects from the cyclone to the bottom of the collection drum? I’m thinking maybe to help equalize pressure. It may help to create a vacuum in the drum.

I have the older—unmolded I guess – version of the mini-gorilla. It was all metal and painted yellow “back in the day”—ha ha.

I think the clear tube is to create some vacuum in the catch container so that a plastic bag placed in the catch container does not get sucked up into the cylone and then into the filter.

This new “molded” version looks nice. I can see several improvements over the original.
