Topic tags/keywords: refurbishing

I have a very old 3 legged table that I am refinishing. The 3/4 in molding that goes around the rounded front had popped off and now is out of shape and is larger than the actual table top. The banding fits on the bottom recessed 1/4 inch. The wood seems brittle and I ‘m afraid to put a clamp on it to pull it into shape.
