I ordered an NOS Delta 28-280 14 inch bandsaw last week, and its on the way. I want to build my own mobile base for it, and i would like to have it ready for when the saw arrives. Can somebody give me the dimensions of the footprint of the enclosed base/stand? I looked at the “Overall Dimensions” in the saws online manual, but it didnt mention the stand’s specific dimensions.

Here is the Delta mobile base for that saw, which gives the size:

(They are about $70 at Home Depot w/free shipping)

Are you sure that’s not the outside dimensions of the mobile base itself? I want to know what would be the inside area.

The mobile base for the Unisaw has the dimensions listed, and those are the inside dimensions, not outside (I have one, so I’m positive). I would imagine the bandsaw base is the same (and the home depot listing has larger dimensions, which are most likely overall outside dimensions).

I have the same saw and the mobile base listed above. The saw cabinet is 17”w x 19”d.

The 17.25” x 19.5” is the inside dimension of the mobile base and it makes it easier to get the saw into it.

Ah, that clears it up! Thanks!
