I am not starting a tread on the safety features of saw stop. I would like to know if any one has purchased the ss contractor saw and what is your opinion of it, I am on the fence between the pc175 and the contractor saw, money is an issue but if need be i can wait a while to be able to afford.thx RJ

I have the SS contractor saw. I bought it this spring. I replaced a craftsman 113 with a T2 fence. Best decision I made. Easy to set up and adjust. I would recommend getting the 30” T glide fence rather than the stock one. I was used to the T2 fence. The stock sawstop fence while an OK fence,it can be locked down slightly out of square. You need watch and press the base of the fence toward the saw before locking it down each time. I did by the 220 controller and converted it to 220V. I would like to have a cabinet saw but this does everything I need done and does it well wo I can’t justify the extra money. The internal parts are the same.
