Hello. I am a big fan of the site, and hope you guys can help me out. I sanded out an old table, and would like to know what kind of wood it is made of. The second pic is of another, finished table. Same question – what kind of wood is it? Thanks in advance.

Difficult to see. Can you perhaps show an end grain image and tell ud where you are located in the world. Allso information on weight, aproximate age, smell and genneral feel helps a lot. Thanks
