Topic tags/keywords: christmas

Those of you who have been following my story know that my wife and I moved in with her parents to take care of them through their time of coping with Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s. My wife and I have always had a very strong Christmas tradition just the two of us, and we put up a tree every year even though we spend Christmas Eve and Christmas day with her parents. This year, we both got really sad to think we would not have our own tree, the small space in the house allocated to us is not nearly enough for a tree. I didn’t want to let my wife down and I have to admit, the thought of us giving up our personal Christmas tradition was just too much to bear. We had some space in the shop, so witness our first “shop” Christmas tree. It’s the best one we’ve ever had :-)

Beautiful tree. It’s a great thing you are doing for her parents. I’m glad you found a space of your own for your tradition. Enjoy and Merry Christmas Jerry!

Good for you Jerry, finding a way to carry on a family tradition in difficult times. Because of my daughter’s allergies we are not able to have “real” trees, so we’ve always tried to have a nice realistic-looking tree in our house.

Wishing you and yours A VERY Merry Christmas. Best Wishes from us here in JawJa, also Peace and Comfort in the New Year to you and yours.

Looks like the shop got a Christmas cleaning to boot. I have a vision of you two sitting around the torpedo space heater sipping a Christmas beverage opening gifts. Warms the cockles of my heart.
To you and yours MERRY CHRISTMAS.
