Hey everyone.

I am finishing a vanity I built. I sprayed it with GF white milk paint with no issues and am now on my second coat of GF High Performance. However, I now notice lint in the color of whatever clothes I am wearing getting stuck in the topcoat and didn’t notice this when I was spraying the paint.

I have an ad-hoc spray booth set up; basically I have set up floor to ceiling plastic tarps around the whole vanity and wear a respirator. I have a bleeder style hvlp so I vacuumed the floor really well before I started but I don’t have any air filtration. Any ideas? I was thinking of picking up one of those white coveralls that Dickie’s makes for painters to wear over my clothes when I got into the “spray booth”.

Any ways, I will have to sand down the whole thing and add a new layer of topcoat to get rid of it but don’t want to waste my time.

Those white Tyvek suits work very well if you can stand wearing them. I use them, but it’s more when I’m spraying oil based finishes/paints and I use them to protect my clothes. If it’s warm at all those things can get really uncomfortable.
