I have the beall 1×8 tap but would like to find the die that matches,,,can anyone help

Ebay, seriously. You’ll likely pay a mint from a retail store. All my big taps/dies have been bought on ebay, they were all new, overstock or clearance, good brands, some American, some foreign, never paid over $10 shipped for any of them.

The Beall tap is for threading wood and I think jeff is after the mating die (actually called a thread box if I’m not mistaken) which is pricey. Ebay’s a good bet Jeff, a good deal is not. Sorry but as far as I’ve seen, wooden threading is a costly endeavor!

If you are looking to thread wood, use a 1×8 nut. I’ve had luck filing a few grooves perpendicular to the threads and using the “grooved” nut to cut threads on hard woods.
