So I built a coffee table and it’s all stained and finished, now I realize I want lid supports, but all the images I see of them installed are with piano hinges. I used European hinges and I’m worried they aren’t going to work with the lid supports I bought. If anyone has tried this before I would really like some feedback. I may just have to mock up a whole separate lid to know for sure

With the lack of information given all I can say it do the mock up. It’s a good idea anyway.

What kind of lid support are you wanting to use? can you post a pic?

Most will work with a variety of hinges. I’ve used several. this is one of my favorites—very versatile, and adjustable:

this is the lid support i had planned on using, i should probably stop being lazy and just do a mock up. my concern is that the half overlay european hinges push the pivot point out as they swing up. just don’t want to drill holes into a finished project and have the action binding

The better ones come in two versions – one for piano hinges and one for european hinges.

Can you give some links to the different kinds. I never knew lid says were hinge specific.
