A while back a finished an entertainment center with the standard Watco lacquer from big box store. Since then I have finished a cherry sleigh bed with some pre-cat lacquer. Wow…. the difference!

I realize the standard lacquer may still yellow but will a coat of Precat (Sherwin Williams) overtop the Watco lacquer adhere well? Is scuffing required since it is a different type of lacquer?
