Topic tags/keywords: question tablesaw

I am needing a small portable table saw but of course have a limited budget. The Bosch/Ridgid/Dewalts are a bit too high for me right now.

Was wondering if anyone here knows anything about the Craftsman Portable Model 21828 ($329.00) Like the idea of a riving knife and splitter, the guard assembly looks just like the rigid/bosch.

Thanks!

AFAIK, the Cman 21828 and Ridgid R4516 are both made by TTI/Ryobi and appear to be very similar if not the same. I have no idea if either are good portables, but thought it might be useful to know. You might find a better deal on a refurbished model.

For Dewalt/Bosch, I like this outfit. I have bought 2 of their reconditioned tools and they have been great. One was a Bosch 12” siding compoud miter saw, the other was a Dewalt 12 1/2” thickness planer. Both work great never had a problem.
