Topic tags/keywords: question bandsaw blades

I have been using Timberwolf 93 1/2” blades in a variety of sizes on 2 different brands of 14” saws. I am experiencing a high number of breaks at the weld. So, what do you have success and or failure with and where do you get yours?

I dont use my BS much, but I use TW and Olsons, I have a 14”’ Delta with a 6”’ riser and a SS 11”’, I have no such problem, maybe too much tension? I know there is allot to set up a BS and the blade supports, both latterly, and side/back support.

I re-saw a lot with my GO555 and found 1/2” carbide blades to work best for me. I get them at “SuperCut” for $25. (105”)

Thank Jim. This is the type of information I am looking for. The G0555 is one of the 2 bandsaws that I have been using. While I have been satisfied with the cut from the Timberwolf blades, I am seeing a high breakage rate and they are all failing at the weld. Different tension and setup, but same failure. I am interested in what other LJ’s are using and where they are buying from. I will take a look at your recommendation.
