making a pen turning blank out of colored pencils

can anyone give me some help on making colored pencil blanks,,i have been looking for the hexogon sided kind but all I can find is the round ones,,any help on finding the right kind or the procedure for glueing or turning them would be a real help,,thank you

I glue up my blanks for a 3/4 size turning by using a 1/2 square of base material, then cut it at any angle and insert a 1/8 piece, glue the 3 together over night then turn and repat for the other side, now you have 5/8 square (roughly) then I cut at different angle and repeat until I have a 1 inch square blank. Turn it down, or if you want a hex design cut it in a jig on the saw.
