Hi guys,

I just the unpleasant experience of drilling through the profile edge of my freshly finished mitred-cabinet doors. The 11 mm hinge cup is about .5 mm too deep. What are my options for hinges? Do they make shallower depth euro hinges? The doors are full overlay for face frames.

Thanks.

I know Salice makes some euro type hinges with a 9mm cup depth. You might look through their CATALOG to see if you can find one with the right configuation.

Oh man. I feel your pain. Years ago I was trying to build a roll-top desk and drilled thru it in two places !
It ALMOST ended by me chopping it up with an axe… but I walked away for a couple days and went back to it. We ended up with just a regular desk

I think I have had nightmares about that same thing. I was thinking you could add a shim to the back for extra depth, but finding the shallower hinges would be best. Sorry to hear about it, hopefully it didn’t ruin them all.
