Topic tags/keywords: question

Has anyone replaced the steel extensions wings with melamine, if so how did you connect them to the saw top? Having trouble figuring out a method.

I have not, but if I were going to do that, I think I’d have a welder make up some 1” angle iron frames for me and bolt those on, then drop in my melamine panels. You’d have to notch out the melamine where your bolts attach the frame to the saw to allow them to drop into place.

Just curious why you’d want to replace the steel extensions?

To make a router station on one side and a bigger wing on the other.
