Since I had twice a solid wood boards of beech heartwood, ca 17 cm long and 12 cm wide with a beautiful grain. Actually, the wood was the rest of another work with the detail of a Forstner drill and various drill holes. The grain attracted me very much, I really wanted something to saw of it, what fits for Christmas and the grain. But how do I process the already stubborn residual board – throw away simply was not an option, never.
Then I had the idea: I needed a subject in which I was able to integrate the already existing wells, because saw off and discard I really wanted no centimeter of this wood, but I just liked the grain too well.
And because my wood did so well-liked, I also have 2 stars cut from a remainder of 35×35mm and a tiny star to so really nothing degenerates. And all this twice because I had 2 identical residual wood.
Here is my result, I hope you like it.
