Just picked up a vintage Rockwell 6” jointer (SN 86-8274), but it is lacking a fence assembly. Does anyone have one of these jointers that they are parting out?

Check over at OWWM (in the BOYD buy/sell/trade section). They show up from time to time for sale, and you could post a want-to-buy ad as well. I believe there is a fence over there now for $10, but you would need to get the mounting bits… and recently a complete unit was sold for ~$40 sans the stand and motor. I didn’t do a complete search, so there may be more.

Cheers,
Brad

You might want to check ebay. I have no parts, but I have a completely restored Delta Rockwell for sale.

Thanks for the info! I registered for OWWM but am waiting for my account to be approved by an administrator.

Mayo is the best ingredient!

And that is a nice jointer.

Glad you signed up at OWWM. I am there when I am not here. 50/50 split between the two.

Hi Brad,

Couldn’t find the fence you mentioned—how long ago did you see it?

Cheers,
Wes

Wasn’t too long ago.. not sure if it’s been sold or not though. Just did another quick scan, and it looks like a complete fence assembly is available for $40 as well (click here), along with some ‘project’ jointers with most of the parts but missing motors and/or stands in the $50 dollar range.

Cheers,
Brad
