I had talked with him before about possibly driving up to his mill and getting some of his wood, but the drive is quite a distance, so I haven’t been able to get off my butt to do it.

I was interested in obtaining some small shorts, all native california woods to eventually turn into pen blanks to send along in a pen swap advertised by LJ lbudia.

After a quick search of LJ (he used to be my buddy but isn’t there anymore) I saw quite a few of the posts he has made in the past, but now all of those links lead to nowhere. If anyone has any information, or has a resource for small bits of native U.S. woods I would appreciate it.

Thanks Interpim for bringing this matter up. Me too have been wondering when I saw a new member registered using “socalwood” recently. Did anyone notice?
Thanks Martin for the info.
