I caught by chance on a PBS channel a show called Core Kyoto about Japan and it has shown quite a bit of Japanese craftsman and how the make things and the beauty and skills are astonishing and go back thousands of years. A simple water bucket is art.

If you have it on your local channels it worth a dvr and watch. To them the wood has a soul and the care on how they treat it and work it is really amazing.

I’m all about Japanese my dreams :-) Seriously, go to youtube and do a search for Sashimono. You will be amazed.

Must be nice to get WW shows on public TV. We have a TN station and a GA station. Neither have any kind of WW shows. Not even reruns of good ol’ Norm!
