Topic tags/keywords: online retailer hardwood lumber mahogany

I am embarking on a daunting chest-of-drawers project that will be made from mahogany. One problem before I can even start making dust: the only brick-and-mortar place I have found mahogany (any variety) is at Woodcraft or Rockler, which never seem to have enough on hand. So I’ve begun looking online…and am lost.

Bell Forest Products (www.bellforestproducts.com) was an early contender, but they don’t have sizable “project packs” for mahogany.

Has anyone tried www.hardwoodtogo.com? Their “PROPacks” seem like they may fit the bill, but I haven’t found much feedback on them.

Any other vendors or suggestions?

I would love to buy local, but my day job and other constraints have me looking online, despite its obvious disadvantages. My shopping list includes some 8/4 for the legs, 5/4 for the top and mostly 4/4 for the drawer stock and panels.

Thanks – Brian

Steve Wall Lumber. Check out their UPS bundles, or I’m sure they’ll make you a deal on a larger quantity.

If you don’t see what you need on Steve Walls site, call and tell him what you want. Steve is a great guy and will set you up with what you need.

Ok , I’m way out here in Massachusetts , so I guess my locals can’t help you …LOL The online people that I’ve dealt with are also on the East Coast so shipping would probably be a killer for you .
Best wishes and have a Happy New Year : )
