Hey guys I’m looking for a gouge that’s really short I’ve tried the pfeil (5.5”) and the flex cut but both are to long for my hands to use them prescient with the palm feature. I always end up holding it on the metal because the handle is a bit to long.

Know any that might be shorter?

You might think about cutting down what you have. It would be easy if you can get the tool out of the handle first. I would put the steel in between 2 pieces of wood and put that in a vise and drive the handle off. Put a piece of wood against the handle and drive it off with a hammer. It should survive the removal and go back on. It’s probably pressed in.

Or make a new handle.

Yeah I was sort of thinking about that or whittling down the handle

Also looking at the flex cut that interchange, maybe just cut it down

Have your say...
