Topic tags/keywords: bandsaw grizzly g0555 riser block

Hey guys,

I have a G0555 bandsaw and Im going to upgrade the capacity with the riser kit. My question is if all of the G0555 models (LANV, LX, X) are compatible for one another. I understand the color will be different, also that some models have a rack and pinion style guide bar adjuster.

The reason I ask is because the model for the plain G0555 is around $99 shipped and the Anniversary addition can be found on sites like amazon for $80 shipped. I know the anniversary addition has the rack and pinion feature and wonder if it would interfere with the G0555 model construction.

Any input would be greatly appreciated. Thank You.

I bought my GO555 years ago (2008) with the riser so I could re-saw. I also got the re-saw fence for it. This set up works well for me. I use it a lot. I get my blades at “Supercut” and use a 1/2” carbide blade that cost me $25 there.

You could try e-mailing Grizzly technical support at and ask.
