This is getting old. Moving my shop vac from machine to machine to keep down the dust.
All the toys I have create a blizzard of dust and chips. I do believe that I spend as much time cleaning up as building something.
The equiptment that I have is placed about in a 20’x 24’ section that I had carved out of my basement. No one piece is commited to one particular location.
What I would like to do is remote a dust collector outside of my shop area under the basement stairs, which for the most part is a dead space. The height restrictions and dust blow by, would lead me to a canister type dust collector.
Ultimately my question would be: What manufactor would give the biggest bang for my buck.

Check out Penn State Industries. That is where I got my dust collector and duct work. My ceiling is 8’-6” so I don’t know if you can go with a cyclone unit because of height. Call Bill Whitaker who is their tech rep. Great guy to talk to and he can give you some ideas. Look at my blog “Dust Collection In” might give you some ideas as will. Good luck!

God Bless
