Topic tags/keywords: bandsaw blade

I just ordered a bandsaw, according to the specs, the blade length is 140”, I want to put a Lenox trimester blade in it, but the closest sizes are either 137 or 142.

Is there any “wiggle room” for the blade length, or am I supposed to,stick to strictly 140”?

this is my first bandsaw so I’m still learning….

There is some but I dont know if that much, it also depends on the machine. Sorry, that does not help you much.

I just bought a Laguna 14/12 and it takes a 115” blade but the manual and the tag on the side of the bandsaw say’s 114 3/4” to 116” so there is a little wiggle room. I would check the manual.

Order it from spectrum supply or band saw blades direct as they will weld it to size. Iturra Design used to carry Lenox and will also weld to size. I’ve ordered from both Iturra and Spectrum Supply and both weld very good.
