Man, this is the lowest my lumber pile has been in ten years. I was spoiled in IL. I had a guy that was off the charts on his lumber and and prices. I've used that up almost, and I found a guy here in PA that was fantastic and I've burned through that 500bf. Sadly I reached out to get another 500 and he'd passed away so that resource is gone.

I was ready to buy 1000bf from a comercial place close to me but my buddy that was going in half had to bail on me then my son popped up with a need for $$ help.

So as I look at my pile, I've got enough cherry to do one more project and enough herringbone oak to to do maybe one or two projects.

Going to have to get some more in the spring that's going to hurt. Hope no major bills pop up.

So, hows the state of your pile!

Red Oak and Popular is doing fine. I never keep much QS white oak. With Christmas projects I am getting quite low on Walnut. So Monday I will call around to find the lowest price (adjusted for travel costs) and purchase more.

I sawyer about an hour away has the lowest prices but as mahdee pointed out there is more waste. I never know what the sawyer as coming out of the kiln or even if he has anything.
