So I’ve got it down to two saws.
Both used, hobby work, and in really good condition.
PM 66 = 1500
Or
Delta Uni X5 =1200
Both made in USA and 3 HP single phase.

What to do?

If it were me, I’d pick the PM 66…but I would like to see it at a lower cost. The Uni would be a good saw (I owned one up until a year) and truthfully both would serve you well…but there’s something magic about those 66s. I see the Uni being a little overpriced too, but so much of that goes into local economics it’s hard to evaluate. I sold my highly accessorized Unisaw (3 HP, 2001 USA Model) for $1000. But that’s about all my rural area would bear, and even then the buyer drove a good distance to get it. You didn’t mention blade tilt or other factors, but both are good…the 66 better (IMHO).

I’m hesitant to mention it: but I went with a Sawstop. There was no way this could be justified, but I went with the ICS in 5 HP. It was, as someone pointed out to me, simply splurging. But it was going to be the new Unisaw model (that was the going in plan some years ago) until they moved production overseas. That move made all the considerations an import; so the SS came to be. I did consider the PM 2000, but it’s not quite the saw the 66 is/was (my opinion, of course).
